Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Animated Map Generator ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Animated Map Generator is a visual editor that allows users to create stylized animated maps with editable scene data. The Service provides map content for illustrative, educational, and storytelling purposes only.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may use the Service to create travel content, educational materials, news explainers, fictional maps, and other non-operational visual stories.

You expressly agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service to request tactical military instructions, targeting guidance, or operational advice for real-world harm.
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to bypass any usage limits, billing mechanisms, or security features of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service.

4. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its underlying technology, the built-in SVG world map, scene rendering engine, and any marks or logos, are owned by or licensed to the Service provider. You retain ownership of the map scenes and exports you create through the Service, subject to any watermarking applied under the free tier.

6. Exports and Watermarking

Free-tier exports include a watermark. Paid Creator-tier exports remove the watermark when billing is active and in good standing. You may not remove or obscure watermarks from free-tier exports.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE SERVICE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT MAP VISUALIZATIONS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY SPECIFIC USE. MAP CONTENT IS GENERATED FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON FOR NAVIGATION, OPERATIONAL DECISIONS, OR REAL-WORLD PLANNING.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE SERVICE PROVIDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service itself. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
